Snyder Motorsports recently doubled their posting for the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series National Event Contingency during the 2017 Season.   Snyder Motorsports is posting for both their Snyder Motorsports’ Lencodrive Racing Transmissions, which had final round appearances in Top Dragster, Top Sportsman and the Top Alcohol ranks last season, and the ComSyncEFI Engine Fuel Ignition Management with Data Record, which is an innovative engine management system that has collected a National Event Wally and a NHRA Division Championship in the Top Sportsman class.  Snyder Motorsports Lencodrives will pay for national event champions and runner-ups in Top Alcohol Dragster, Top Alcohol Funny Car, Top Dragster, Top Sportsman and Pro Modified.  ComSyncEFI will pay for both winners and runner-ups at national events in Top Dragster, Top Sportsman and Pro Modified.

Former NHRA Top Alcohol Funny Car and PDRA Pro Extreme Champion, Mick Snyder and the Snyder Motorsports Team will also compete at select 2017 NHRA events with their 2016 NHRA North Central Division Chmapionship 1963 Supercharged, Electronic Fuel Injected Top Sportsman Corvette that utilizes both their Snyder Motorsports’ Lencodrive and ComSyncEFI Engine Management.  “Snyder Motorsports is really excited to double their contingency postings at NHRA Mello Yello National Events this season.  With NHRA’s new program, it allowed us the opportunity to pay back our racers that use our products.  We have a lot of great racers using our Lencodrive Racing Transmissions and the ComSyncEFI Engine Management System,” an excited Snyder stated.  “It just made sense to reward the racers that are making our products look good.  We have been lucky enough to collect some contingency over the years, and we were always grateful to the companies that posted contingency for us.  Now, I just hope to get a little contingency myself this year with our Powersource Transportation Top Sportsman Corvette.” 

Snyder Motorsports’ Lencodrive Racing Transmission
The Lencodrive Racing Transmission is a converter drive transmission based off the Lenco CS2 Transmission. For more than 15 years, Snyder Motorsports and Lenco have worked to make this the best converter drive on the market. Based on the numbers, the Lencodrive is at the top of the pack. Featuring the same ¾” CS2 gear sets found in the quickest and fastest NHRA Alcohol Dragsters, Lencodrive is built to handle the horsepower. The Lencodrive is also the most compact unit, with a gear set incorporated into the converter drive section. Lencodrive is designed to be a converter driven transmission, not a converter drive unit with a bolt on transmission. The trans brake also sets the Lencodrive apart; it is held, not by a band, but rather by a clutch pack. It also has a safety sprag option, which causes the transmission to automatically free wheel when not under power. The Lencodrive can be shifted by air pressure or pulling levers. Turbo 400, C-6, and 1.25” input shafts are available. Since 2000, Lencodrive has been tested in the Snyder Motorsports’ IHRA Pro Outlaw Dragster, NHRA Top Alcohol Dragster, NHRA Top Alcohol Funny Car, PDRA Pro Extreme Corvette and NHRA/PDRA Top Sportsman Corvette. Like most great innovations, Lencodrive is constantly being scrutinized and improved.

ComSyncEFI is a complete engine management system.  ComSyncEFI features a “One Box Does It All” approach and does the work of what could take three to four other systems to accomplish.  The ComSyncEFI ECU controls the fuel delivery through electronic fuel injectors, the ignition system through coil packs, all other engine management (timing curves, individual cylinder timing, fuel lean outs, transmission shifts, ect.) and also does complete data recording.  This system’s features and abilities are massive, but that does not mean it is complicated for the user.  The simple tables, drop down menus and real numbers make it easy to understand and manipulate.  For more information visit: www.comsyncefi.com
